I began woodworking with my father as a child and, at the age of 15, I built my first guitar. After college, I threw my passions for art, sculpting, music and woodwork into one and built Batson Guitar Company with my brother, Cory. Together, we designed and developed an innovative acoustic guitar that continues to captivate guitar enthusiasts worldwide.
In 2011, I turned the business over to my brother and immediately immersed myself into the work of a newfound passion, pipemaking. Having smoked a pipe for 17 years, I had always been intrigued by the art of making them. Having studied under the guidance of world-renowned pipemakers, Todd M. Johnson and Teddy Knudsen, I'm now proud to be producing a body of work that’s pleasing even the most judicious pipe enthusiasts.
